Introduction:

I am lucky enough live in the heart of London and would love to share my wonderful city with you - sites, coach or walking tours. With a BA Hons in Literature, I was a teacher for 26 years before becoming a Blue Badge Guide in 2006 - so I find lots of my clients are school children or families. I also help to organise events for a club for over 50s, so it is a joy to work with all different age groups.

I am happy to show you all the major sites in London, and on a day trip out of London, that you may have read about in your guide books, whether it's Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London, the National Gallery, Tate Galleries or the British Museum to name some of the most popular.
You may also enjoy visiting Windsor Castle and Hampton Court, or the cities of Bath with its 2000 year-old Roman Baths and Jane Austen connections; Canterbury the home of the Church of England and a city full of delightful old building and rich history; the ancient university city of Oxford with its "dreaming spires" and famous alumni; the birth and burial place of Shakespeare at Stratford-on-Avon; Winchester with its connection with King Alfred the Great or Salisbury and Stonehenge steeped full of Britain's pre-history.

In addition to guiding, I currently help run the course to train new London Blue Badge Guides and do some teaching on the course also. I am on the Executive Committee of The Guild of Registered Tourist Guides and I assist in running the Continuing Personal Development Course for qualified Blue Badge Guides for them. I also serve on the Accreditation Committee for the Institute of Tourist Guiding to encourage colleagues to run courses to train guides around the country.
