Introduction:

Based between Falmouth & Truro in Cornwall,I qualified in 1998 as a South West England Blue Badge Guide covering Cornwall,Devon,Somerset,Avon,Gloucestershire,Wiltshire and Dorset. My themed coach tours & walks in towns and cities aim to bring places alive with entertaining commentaries and interesting facts. My former career as a teacher and lecturer has given me experience of leading residential visits here in the UK and abroad. I provide familiarisation tours, study tours for students of all ages and special interest tours as well as more general panoramic tours. Rosamunde Pilcher novels & films, based around the St Ives & Penzance area, produced for German television, Doc Martin and Poldark Tours for coach companies are a specialism. I offer tours for cruise ship passengers, small groups & individuals which include Gardens and Stately Homes, Art & Artists of the Newlyn School & St Ives Artist Colony as well as more general cultural and heritage tours of Coast and Countryside.
Married with an adult son my personal interests include walking, skiing, travel and Cornish research. An interest in industrial archaeology has led to my being a Champion for the UNESCO Cornish Mining World Heritage Sites and more recently a 'Cultural Ambassador ' for Cornwall. Being 'Cornish' I enjoy sharing knowledge of local culture and traditions. Working with inbound and UK groups I guarantee providing a well organised tour delivered in a friendly and enthusiastic style.
