I worked over 20 years in social housing. My 1st degree was in Eng Lit, & I have a dip. in Religious Studies. While I am fascinated by the churches, galleries & historic buildings of London, I also enjoy living in the world's most ethnically diverse city.
I am happy to wear my kilt working as a guide in any weather!

|Churches & Cathedrals||
I have been an avid church trotter ever since my teens visiting country churches in Devon. I have visited every ancient English and Welsh cathedral, except Chester, which I mean to put right. I know the Wren churches of the City of London very well. Whatever your own beliefs, I am sure you will be interested if I can show you how these spaces have been in continual community use over the generations.
|History & Prehistory|
When I was growing up in Devon and thought of London as the place where things happened in books. Both as the home of writers and the setting of books, London is fascinating. I would be happy to show you round.
I really enjoy taking walking tours. At street level you can see and experience what the environment is like, and with my help, use your imagination to see what it was like in maybe very different circumstances in the past. I have particular experience in the City of London, and can show 2000 years of history in under 2 hours, plus at least something from Charles Dickens and Christopher Wren.
