Introduction:

I grew up in Surrey where I developed a love of History and literature. I first discovered London through its theatres.
Over the past two decades, I have worked with colleagues and students from 7 to 70 in theatre, guiding, tour directing, teaching, and co running summer camps. These pursuits now inform and flavour my lively guiding style.
Tailoring tours to suit families, the curious, or simply the young at heart is part of my ongoing experience as a guide.
Having lived and worked in Rome for seven years, my tours add a 'continental flavour' to London, Britain, it's borders, and beyond.
One of the chief delights of life as a guide, is the pleasure of animating the tales and characters of our past. I love storytelling. The monuments, museums, memorials castles churches chapels parks and palaces furnish our past with memory. Beneath those ceilings and skies, and in the streets, the personalities and events that made us what we are have a home.
It is a pleasure to share it.

COURTS AND CASTLES
From The famous Tower of London, Hampton Court on the city's edge, to Windsor, Dover and Warwick further afield, cold steel and tales of intrigue are all in a day's work! Prisoners and politicians await discovery.
BEAUTIFUL BRITAIN
The cobbled lanes of Oxford, Stratford upon Avon, monoliths of Stonehenge, picturesque Cotswold villages, Salisbury with its fantastic cathedral, nearby Old Sarum, Lacock and charming Bath, nestled into the Mendip Hills, are all regular features of my working days.
FOCUS ON LONDON
The more I discover of London's treasure trove of artistic and cultural delights, the more stories I uncover, the more I realise how much this great city tells us about Londoners themselves, Europe and the wider world beyond.

WOW! WOMEN OF WESTMINSTER
Women's role throughout Britain's history is one worth telling. We have so much to thank them for! Westminster's greatest buildings and smallest backstreets reveal an accolade of names - many unknown, who strove to find a place in Literature, Medicine, Education, and Politics. From Royals and Duchesses to Suffragette street songs & rallies via the smallest Westminster offices, their story has become ours, and has spread across the globe. Whoever you are, find your place in that story.
