Bi-lingual German/English. Studied History/Art History at Cambridge and then piano & conducting at the Royal Academy of Music & the Salzburg 'Mozarteum'; PGCE/QTS-teaching experience;Opera & Orchestral conductor with major opera houses/orchestras; have held professorships at music conservatoires, lecturer & public speaker. Conducted, taught and resident in Germany for 12 years, also conducting in France,Italy,Iceland & Ireland. Have devised,guided,tour-managed throughout UK & Europe, specialist tours/panoramics. Historic houses/gardens/museums/opera & music festivals, walking tours for wide range of ages and backgrounds, from retired and active professional executives to university graduates and students.Have also worked as translator/interpreter. Member of the National Trust. Gained my Blue Badge in 1999. I am accredited to guide the British Museum, the V & A, the National Gallery, St Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Hampton Court, Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, Bath and Salisbury Cathedral. I have guided throughout the entire British Isles and have led, guided and lectured many architectural, art history and classical music tours throughout much of mainland Europe.

Architecture

I have lectured at what used to be called 'The Prince of Wales's School of Architecture' and led seminars there for graduates studying architecture. I have expert knowledge of the major architecture styles from the Classical to Modern Architecture and have guided specialist tours throughout London concentrating on the most significant modern developments in the City of London, Docklands and the City of Westminster.
