Introduction:

History fanatic, teller of tales and a bit of an actor, I love nothing better than showing you our wonderful city!

I’ve lived in London for over 20 years and still find it a city of surprises. I’d be delighted to take you on a tour of its many wonderful sights, not just magnificent places like the Tower of London or Westminster Abbey but those hidden gems that are waiting to be discovered, like the alleyways of the ancient City, a secluded garden surrounded by high-rise buildings or a medieval church.

If you’re after a day out, then let me take you on a tour of Georgian Bath, a city I know well; or a stroll around the delightful colleges of Oxford University.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Guy was a particularly good guide and I heard lots of lovely comments on his breadth of knowledge and how it was put across in an interesting and entertaining way – which is so important.
Heritage Touring

Just a quick note to say a big thank you from all our group today. I know everyone enjoyed it thoroughly – your tour was informative and very entertaining, with lots of great personal stuff thrown into the mix!
City of London Guides Students 2015/6

Guy gave us a really fascinating tour and some members thought it the best visit they had been on.
Foreign & Commonwealth Association

Guy was so nice and knowledgeable. His commentary about England's history and the sites we visited was very informative and interesting. My kids actually thought he would make an excellent candidate for the next "Dr. Who"!

Personal Interests:

Special Interests:

Archaeology

I studied Ancient History & Archaeology at Birmingham University and have never lost my fascination for the subject. I'd love to explain the mysteries of Stonehenge to you or take you on a tour of the British Museum

History & Prehistory

I've never lost my love of the past and still remember all the dates of all the kings, queens and battles! It'd be a pleasure to tell you about Britain's history - and no dates necessary!

Antiques

Fancy browsing a few antique shops? My parents and their parents were avid collectors and I've inherited their interest in picking up a little something. Let me help you.

Castles & Palaces

Britain has some of the finest castles ever built. Kids big and small love exploring the ruins. Let me tell you about their history, including all the gory bits!

Food & Drink

A lover of beer, fine wine, a refreshing gin & tonic, not forgetting such English tipples as elderflower cordial or ginger beer, let's find a cosy pub and organise your itinerary

London Areas in Depth

Explore the 2000 years of the City of London. Learn about its livery companies (a particular interest of mine), the Romans, the Great Fire of 1666, St Paul's Cathedral and Sir Christopher Wren. Why not venture west to the delightful riverside village of Strand-on-the-Green or take a boat east to explore maritime Greenwich?
